The Department of Ecology of the Mangystau region is responsible for the implementation of tasks related to environmental protection and the rational use of natural resources in the region. The main functions include monitoring compliance with environmental norms and standards, conducting state environmental expertise and monitoring pollution levels.
According to the agreement on the establishment of the branch dated 08/12/2022 No. 11, a branch of the department was established on the basis of the State University “Department of Ecology of the Mangystau region of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
During the training, students of the Department of Ecology and Geology have the opportunity to study at the branch. In this department, students acquire practical skills in conducting environmental monitoring of soils, water and air with visits to enterprise facilities and sampling points in the city of Aktau.
