The Department of Emergency Situations (DFS) of the Mangystau region performs the functions of preventing, eliminating and managing the consequences of emergency situations in the region. The main responsibilities of the department include: Emergency prevention measures — monitoring compliance with safety standards in construction, industry and other areas in order to minimize the risks of accidents and natural disasters.
Organization of rescueandrecoveryoperations—in case ofemergencysituations, the departmentcoordinates the actions of rescueservicesandotherstructuresforrapidresponsetoincidents.Firecontrolandsafety— The Emergency Department is alsoengaged in firesafetymonitoring,conductspreventivemeasuresandmonitorscompliance with fire safety standardsatfacilities.
Work with the public — conducting training events to raise awareness of citizens about the rules of conduct in the event of an emergency, as well as evacuation training. Emergency assessment and recovery — analysis of the consequences of accidents and disasters, organization of work on their elimination and restoration of damaged infrastructure.
According to the agreement on the establishment of a branch dated 06/24/2021 No. 100, a branch of the department was established on the basis of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Mangystau region. On the basis of the branch, students master the skills of organizing rescue and recovery operations, analyzing the consequences of accidents and disasters, organizing work to eliminate them and restore damaged infrastructure.
