In the city of Heraklion, Greece, a place rich in ancient history, the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship took place in November. This prestigious tournament gathered the strongest athletes from more than 140 countries, and Radik Akzhol, a first-year student of the “Oil and Gas Engineering” educational program, heroically represented our country and raised its flag high.
Our young hero, the pride of our university, competed in the under 85 kg weight category, defeating all his opponents one by one and claiming the gold medal.
We express our deepest gratitude to Radik for bringing glory to Kazakhstan on the world stage and raising our national flag. We wish him continued success and many more victories in the future!
