Department of “Mechanical Engineering and Transport”

On the occasion of the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yessenov University organized competitions “The Best researcher”, “The Best young scientist” in order to evaluate, encourage and stimulate the work of scientists who have made a certain contribution to the development of science. From the Faculty of Engineering, a young scientist, PhD doctor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Transport A. Z. Bukayeva took part in the competition “The Best Young Scientist”. She successfully completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Yessenov University, doctoral studies at Satbayev University. She defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Study of the structure of the thermodynamic working body for surface treatment of solid rock blocks”. She was awarded letters of thanks from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yessenov University for the achievements in the implementation of educational, scientific and educational work.

WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF GRANT FUNDING OF THE Ministry of Science and Higher Education OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN, THE TEACHING STAFF OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND TRANSPORT WON 1 PROJECT.

The teaching staff of the Department of “Mechanical Engineering and Transport” under the guidance of Acting Associate Professor Bulekbaeva G.Zh. within the framework of grant funding of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the period from 2023 to 2025 implements a scientific project on the topic AP 19680395 “Study of the stress-strain state of surfaced parts and development of a method to reduce their deformations in the processes of surface plastic deformation” according to the priority “Energy and mechanical engineering” in the amount of 99 million tenge.

Senior lecturer Baimbetov D. B. is implementing a project on grant financing of research by young scientists “Zhas galim” for 2023-2025 in the priority area “Energy and mechanical engineering”.

The topic of the project is “Modeling and development of a solar heat pump system for desalination of seawater in the conditions of the Southwestern region of Kazakhstan”.

Senior lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Transport Baimbetov Dinmukhambet completed an internship at the Berlin Technical University in Germany as part of the 500 Scientists project of the Bolashak program. The internship of the Bolashak 500 Scientists program gave a young scientist of our department an excellent opportunity to study at the Technische Universität Berlin.

As part of the implementation of the AP19680395 research project “Study of the stress-strain state of deposited parts and development of a method for reducing their deformations in the processes of surface plastic deformation” in the period from November 28 to September 01, 2024, the Yessenov University research group consisting of: PhD Bukayeva A. Z., PhD Tabylova A.U. was on a business trip to Batumi (Republic of Georgia).

The purpose of the business trip: participation in the meeting of the XV Annual International Forum of the Union of Mechanics of Georgia.

At the presentation of the report, the conference participants were presented the results of a study of the theory of the formation of residual stresses during the processing of PPD based on the analysis of a model of a hardened elastoplastic body developed by the finite element method based on the conceptual apparatus of the mechanics of technological inheritance, taking into account the effect of a hardened body. According to the results of the XV Annual International Forum of the Union of Mechanics of Georgia, the Yessenov University research group was awarded the appropriate certificates of international standard.

Baimbetov D. B., senior researcher of the scientific project AP14871988 “Development of a solar thermal desalination plant based on a heat pump” on the basis of grant funding for scientific and scientific-technical projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2024 participated in the 19th SDEWES conference, held in Rome, Italy, September 8-12, 2024. The conference was attended by scientists from 62 countries.
