On 11/08/2024, the Department of Ecology and Geology of the Faculty of Engineering of Yessenov University organized the event “Clean Kazakhstan: Ecological Culture” with the aim of understanding ways to protect nature and the environment, revealing environmental literacy of the population as a whole, continuous education of young people, and improving environmental culture. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Message to the people of Kazakhstan “fair Kazakhstan: Law and order, economic growth, public optimism” this year noted that one of the main issues is: “improving the environmental situation is one of the main tasks facing us. We must widely extol the importance of environmental protection in society. As you know, a nationwide environmental campaign “Clean Kazakhstan” has been taking place in the country since spring. This is a blessed initiative that has united an entire population. The new quality of the nation is formed through such specific measures. This is not a temporary campaign. This important project should continue all year round. In short, the cleanliness of the environment should become a daily skill of everyone.””The event was attended by Kirill Vladimirovich Osin, director of the NGO Ecomanization, and Director of the NGO GREEN SCHOOL TAZA.Irina Rapaelovna Tatieva, Director of the LIKEE Public Foundation, PhD, Head of the Department of Ecology and Geology at the KTI. Yessenova Koibakova, Symbat Yelamanovna, presented their reports on the ways and significance of the formation of ecological culture, its current level, role, ecology of the city, and environmental education of the population. Representatives of the departments of development and modernization of housing and communal services, Waste Management and Planning, Energy Management, the public fund “GIBRAT PRO”, the Mangistau regional branch of the Amanat Party, as well as the teaching staff and students of the Department of Ecology and Geology of Yesenovo University also took part.
