On 09/16/2023, Senior lecturer of the Department of Ecology and Geology of the Faculty of Engineering at Yessenov University Aitimova A.M. and 1st year students of the Ecology Department together with members of the Mangystau Regional Ecological Council of the Kazakhstan Association of Ecological Regions in the EcoJer initiative and Mangystau Baytaq Jasyldar Partiasy eco-activists chaired by Serik Gusman took part in the World Cleanliness Day (World Cleanup Day). The clean-up started in the morning at 07: 00! Despite the early time, our students took an active part in the action in full force. In addition, eco-activists needed not only to collect garbage, but also needed its further sorting with subsequent recycling to representatives of the Eco Waste Aqtau company. At the same time, the country faces the task of increasing the share of recycled waste to 40% by 2030. It is gratifying that the students of Yessenov University are making their contribution to the realization of the intended goal!
