On September 25, 2024, the faculty of the Department of Energy and Automation organized an event on the topic “NPP – A Guarantee of Energy Stability”. The event was attended by E.D. Muralev, PhD in Technical Sciences, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development of Arid Territories, who has 31 years of experience in the field of nuclear energy, as well as K.P. Serednyuk, Lead Engineer for Nuclear and Radiation Safety at the Industrial Safety Department of LLP MAEK-Kazatomprom. The speakers shared their thoughts on the topic. From the department, Professor K.T. Bazhikov and Associate Professor K.T. Erzhanov delivered speeches. The event covered discussions on the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power plants (NPPs). Students had the opportunity to watch an informative video about nuclear power plants. At the end of the event, participants asked questions, received detailed answers, and exchanged opinions.
