On April 02, 2025, of the Yessenov University, of the Faculty of Engineering, of the Department of Ecology and Geology of hosted the grand opening of the educational and laboratory auditorium dedicated to the Day of Geologists and the 100th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, professor of our University Valentin Petrovich Tokarev, Honored Worker of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, winner of the Lenin Prize.
The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists, the Mangystau Geological Inspectorate and Yessenov University. At the opening ceremony, the ribbon of the new audience was cut by Izbergen Kubekbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists, and Arman Rakushovich Zhanakhmet, head of the Aktau NCOC office. The auditorium was fully equipped with modern laboratory equipment sponsored by NCOC.

The international scientific and practical conference “Secrets of the subsoil: achievements and prospects of geological science” was held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the famous exploration geologist Nurmanov Adil Moldashevich, who discovered such deposits as Karazhanbas, Kalamkas, Severny Buzashi, Donga, Uzen, Zhetybai of the Mangistau Territory. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the latest achievements in the field of geology, information technology in the oil and gas industry, economic efficiency and environmental risks, identify prospects for geological research and strengthen scientific cooperation.
