On 20.05.2022, at the Faculty of Engineering of Yessenov University, the Department of Ecology and Geology held the grand opening of two educational laboratories “digital technologies in the field of ecology” and “digital technologies in the field of geology”. In order to increase the global competitiveness index of Rock Flow Dynamics and Rabbim Kurylys institutions, which realize the goal of combining science and innovation in one direction, NCOC presented Esenov University with software complexes T-navigator of engineering profile and ERA, equipped with modern equipment, for use in the educational process. The ribbon of the laboratory was cut by the head of the NCOC company in Aktau, Arman Zhanakhmet and the first deputy director for Geology and Development of the branch of Kazniizhi LLP, Alibek Zhaykanov.
The ERA software package (era PC) is designed to automate calculations in the field of environmental regulation and design, development of environmental documentation for existing and projected enterprises.
Modeling of the geological structure and development processes is the basis for the successful development of oil and gas fields.
Using new IT technologies, such as neural networks, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies, and huge amounts of data, rock Flow Dynamics offers completely new algorithms and software capabilities that make it possible to increase the efficiency of oil field development management.
TNAVIGATOR software offers a full-featured solution for developers and geologists, which gives a great opportunity to perform all stages of model construction, such as seismic interpretation, well correlation, structural modeling, phase and petrophysical modeling, as well as calculation of volumes and reserves. One of tNavigator’s modules, the geology constructor, allows you to create a geological model from scratch, and everyday actions are automated using workflow in the form of Python scripts, which allows users to increase work efficiency. The geological constructor allows you to find statistical uncertainties in all ranges and distributions, which allows you to analyze sensitivity and uncertainty in the geological grid without creating a complete hydrodynamic model.
These software complexes have the opportunity for our students to fully master their specialties in the modern technological direction.
On behalf of the team, we express our gratitude to the management of these companies that create opportunities for new searches. We firmly believe that your contribution to the development of ecology and geology will contribute to solving world-class problems and highlight various scientific discoveries that will become the basis for the affairs of our scientists!

The dual training system with the establishment of JSC “Karazhanbasmunaygas” has been implemented since the 2021-2022 academic year. In the same process, according to the educational program ” 6b07208 – Geology and exploration of mineral deposits “, two students are trained in dual training. At the request of dual training, the gpi should be higher than -3.00. According to the same requirement, two of our students Irisbayev Nurym and Baydulla Nurbek combine their knowledge with production.
